Corporation Document Retrieval - Corporate Records
Sun Document Filings is located in Sacramento,
California and visits the Secretary of State's office 3 times a day to retrieve
corporation documents. The Sacramento branch is the only location copies of
corporation documents can be obtained. We can retrieve a California Corporation
Certificate of Good Standing from the Secretary of State on a routine or rush
basis. In addition, we are able to retrieve any California Corporation document
on file with the Secretary of State including copies of the Articles of
Incorporation, Statement and Designation by Foreign Corporation, Certificate of
Amendment including name change, Restated Articles, Mergers, Dissolutions,
Election to wind up and dissolve, Conversions, and retrieve a copy of a
Statement of Information (includes officers and directors). We can obtain plain

Obtain a California Certificate of Good Standing from
the California Secretary of State for a California Corporation.

24 hour rush service for Certificate of Good Standings only (no corporate

Secretary of State fee: $15.00 ($5.00 for each certificate of good standing +
$10.00 counter fee per California Corporation name). FedEx is available for $25.00.

Statement of Information.
Secretary of State fee: $10.00 counter fee per California Corporation name +
$1.00 for the first page and $.50 thereafter, add $5.00 for certified
documents.
Return shipping Option: $25.00 for FedEx overnight or $1.50 per page for a fax
copy or regular mail (free).
The Secretary of State has discontinued same day service to the general public. THERE ARE NO RUSH OPTIONS, paid or otherwise - the state takes 5-7 business days to process all requests. If you journey to Sacramento, you will not get your documents any faster than if you place an order with our office. Please note that if you mail the request directly to the
Secretary of State, your turnaround time will be 4-6
weeks! Using our service saves you a significant amount of time. Just make sure
to plan ahead and order early and allot 5-7 business days for your

FAQ: Can you obtain records sooner then 5-7 business days?
Answer: No, nobody can obtain documents faster. There are NO RUSH OPTIONS, paid or otherwise. The Secretary of State has discontinued same day service to the general public. If you journey to Sacramento, you will not get your documents any faster than if you place an order with our office. Please note that if you mail the request directly to the Secretary of State, your turnaround time will be 4-6 weeks! Using our service saves you a significant amount of time. Just make sure to plan ahead and order early and allot 5-7 business days for your document retrieval request to be completed by the State. We do our best to shave off time by dropping off your corporate record's request right away. Once the order is completed, our runners pick up the documents and bring them back to our office. FAQ: What is a plain copy?
Answer: A plain document is just a photocopy of the originally filed document.
FAQ: What is a certified copy?
A certified copy includes the plain document with a certified page stapled on
top. The certified page is signed by the California Secretary of State
certifying that the document is true and correct.
FAQ: Why would I need my document certified?
Answer: If the document is needed to close a loan or escrow, in court, to
obtain insurance, open a bank account, and for many other reasons, a certified
copy of the document is usually required. We suggest that you check with the
requesting agency to clarify whether or not they need a certified copies prior
to placing your order. Doing this will save you time and
money.
