We will contact you upon receipt of the order form and your document. If you do not hear from us via fax or e-mail within one hour during normal business, please contact us at 800-595-2747 to make sure the document was received.

Step 4: Document is Filed: If we receive your California Corporation Articles of Incorporation by 2:00pm M-F, your Corporation will be filed and active by 5:00PM! This means your company will be given the file date your document was submitted on.  RUSH OPTIONS AVAILABLE. Once the document is submitted to the Secretary of State, the State will take a few weeks to process (call for current time frames), but keep in mind that if you mail the document to the state for processing, you will have to wait SEVERAL WEEKS LONGER. Same day and 24 hour rush options are available. When the state is finished with your document, they will issue a state Corporate number and two certified copies. We will immediately fax a copy of the filed document to you. We will return the two certified copies via regular mail. FedEx is available for an additional fee.

Step 5: File a Statement of Information: After the Articles of Incorporation are filed, the Secretary of State requires that you file a statement of information within 90 days (and every year thereafter). If you fail to file the Statement of Information, they Secretary of State will assess a $250.00 late fee penalty - so do not forget to file the document. The Statement of Information includes the business and mailing address of the corporation, the names and addresses of the officers and directors, the agent for service of process, and a brief description of the corporation.

Most banks will require a filed statement of information to open the corporation's bank account. Most insurance companies will require a filed statement of informaiton before they will give the corporation's employees or officers health insurance. When we send you the certified copies of the Articles of Incorporation, we will include a statement of information form. You will have two choices; 1) Mail it to the state with the filing fee and wait months for filed copy or 2) Use our service to file the Statement of Information for a quicker turnaround time. If you would like Sun to file your statement of Information on an expedited basis and you do not want to wait for the form in the mail, simply download, complete, and sign both of these forms: Statement of Information - for a domestic stock corporation

Step 6: Employer Identification Number: If you would like, we can obtain your client's EIN for their new California Corporation. Simply download and fill out our EIN application and we will prepare the form and e-mail it to you for your client's signature. Once we receive your client's signature, we will obtain the EIN within 24-48 hours. Add $45.00 for this service.

Name availability check: $30.00 for one first choice plus 2 back up name choices for no extra charge plus a state fee of $4.00 per each name checked.

California Registered Agent services for one year: $169.00. Annual fee due at time of filing.

RUSH OPTIONS: If you need to form a corporation on a rush basis, there are rush options available.

SAME DAY FILING (We must receive the document and payment by 5:00pm PST the day before the filing is to occur). We file the document and fax you a copy the same day, the certified copies will arrive the following business day via FedEx. Our service fee: $450.00 plus the Secretary of State's fee of $850.00. Total $1300.00. Call for more information and ask for the CORPORATION SAME DAY RUSH FILING.

Fax/e-mail form: 24 Rush: $350.00 Secretary of State rush fee + $100.00 state filing fee + $200.00 rush service fee. Total: $650.00

Routine fax/e-mail: Our service fee is $70.00 plus the California Secretary of State fee of $115.00 ($100.00 filing fee + $15.00 counter fee) for a total of $185.00. Fax or e-mail the document to our office. Credit card required. This option saves a day of the filing time and saves a FedEx fee to our office.

Budget Mail in: Our service fee is $50.00 plus the California Secretary of State fee of $100.00 filing fee + $15.00 counter fee. To qualify for the reduced service fee, you must send the following: 1 originally signed document and 2 photocopies. Two separate checks both made payable to the Secretary of State; one for $100.00 and one for $15.00. A third check for our fee made payable to Sun Document Filings for $50.00. Routine filings: Obtain a Certificate of Good Standing at the time of filing: Our service fee is $35.00 plus $5.00 state fee per certificate. On a 24 hour rush with filing add $150.00 plus $5.00 state fee. Same day - add $250.00 plus $5.00 state fee per certificate.
