We will contact you upon receipt of the order form and your document. If you do not hear from us via fax or e-mail within one hour during normal business, please contact us at 800-595-2747 to make sure the document was received.
Step 4: Document is Filed: If we receive your California Corporation Articles of Incorporation by 2:00pm M-F, your Corporation will be filed and active by 5:00PM! This means your company will be given the file date your document was submitted on. RUSH OPTIONS AVAILABLE. Once the document is submitted to the Secretary of State, the State will take a few weeks to process (call for current time frames), but keep in mind that if you mail the document to the state for processing, you will have to wait SEVERAL WEEKS LONGER. Same day and 24 hour rush options are available. When the state is finished with your document, they will issue a state Corporate number and two certified copies. We will immediately fax a copy of the filed document to you. We will return the two certified copies via regular mail. FedEx is available for an additional fee.
Step 5: File a Statement of Information: After the Articles of Incorporation are filed, the Secretary of State requires that you file a statement of information within 90 days (and every year thereafter). If you fail to file the Statement of Information, they Secretary of State will assess a $250.00 late fee penalty - so do not forget to file the document. The Statement of Information includes the business and mailing address of the corporation, the names and addresses of the officers and directors, the agent for service of process, and a brief description of the corporation.
Most banks will require a filed statement of information to open the corporation's bank account. Most insurance companies will require a filed statement of informaiton before they will give the corporation's employees or officers health insurance. When we send you the certified copies of the Articles of Incorporation, we will include a statement of information form. You will have two choices; 1) Mail it to the state with the filing fee and wait months for filed copy or 2) Use our service to file the Statement of Information for a quicker turnaround time. If you would like Sun to file your statement of Information on an expedited basis and you do not want to wait for the form in the mail, simply download, complete, and sign both of these forms: Statement of Information - for a domestic stock corporation

Step 6: Employer Identification Number: If you would like, we can obtain your client's EIN for their new California Corporation. Simply download and fill out our EIN application and we will prepare the form and e-mail it to you for your client's signature. Once we receive your client's signature, we will obtain the EIN within 24-48 hours. Add $45.00 for this service.
